The Iranian professors and students arrived safely this morning at Dusseldorf Airport with the accompaniment of Dr. Soltani, the Chairman of the University of Art Tehran and Dr. Amir Alaie, the director of International Relations Office of the University of Art Tehran. After a quick ride to the accommodations in Dortmund and a short nap or exploration of the city of Dortmund, we enjoyed to the welcome dinner at Italian “Mamma Mia” restaurant.
The Roof of Tehran
The second TWO CITIES workshop in Tehran came to end. As a little tradition the whole group went up to Bame Tehran (The roof of Tehran) for a last good view on the city. After every photo was taken and every moment was enjoyed the group went for a last supper to restaurant close by before the German group had to leave for the airport.

After a day and night full of work the Exhibition of the TWO CITIES Workshop 2019 finally opens the doors for visitors. The people filled quickly the room at Negarkhane Honar and enjoyed the students work. The official speech were held by Prof. Motarjemzadeh and Prof. Jörg Winde.

In only one day (and night) the participating students of the Two Cities Workshop prepared their projects for the upcoming exhibition. Each students planned an arrangement for the their photos and exhibits. With the right plan and teamwork all problems were solved to end up with an overwhelming result for the next day.

The first official meeting with the international group at University of Art, Tehran. For the first time the teams meat each other in person and talk about their concepts and projects. The German students also got a tour through the department of photography and Prof. Kai Juenemann presented his own work for the workshop members before the photographic phase began.

Meeting at Nazaar publishing
As the TWO CITIES Workshop 2019 has started, preparations for the second publications are made. For that Prof. Winde and his assistants are meeting up with Nazaar publishing in Tehran. By accident the German group ran into Maryam Zandi at the publishers office. The Iranian photojournalist joined the group and showed her new publication that was being printed right that moment. The lucky accident gave Prof. Winde and the assistants a unique look on the latest book of Maryam Zaandi. After the meeting everyone even got a signed print of the famous photographer.

12 German students and Prof. Kai Juenemann arrived safe and sound at Tehran Airport. After a quick ride with the bus the group enjoyed their first dinner in Iran before they got a well deserved rest at the hotel.
Workshop “Editing & Concept”
Tim Brederecke is holding the “Editing & Concept” Workshop. In four days the Iranian students work together on their concepts to refine the details and learn new methods of editing and storytelling.
The Germans are back to Tehran
After almost a year, the TWO CITIES Project starts again in Tehran. On the first morning after arriving in Tehran, Prof. Winde and his assistants Samaneh Khosravi and Tim Brederecke meeting the Iranian students at Cafe Tehroon. After the last meeting in November of 2018 the concepts and projects were discussed and the meeting was finished with a great meal.
The books in Germany
After traveling almost 4.000km from Tehran to Cologne, the packages made it safe and sound to Dortmund.
Prof. Winde picked the books up at the airports delivery hub and with a car full of books he brought everything to the University of Sciences and Arts Dortmund where the assistants and graphic designers are happy to finally have a look at the publication.
