In one of Tehran’s famous taxis Prof. Jörg Winde and assistant teacher Philipp Robien drove to Tahrish Square in the high north of Tehran where they met Iranian assistant and good friend Amir Khadem Hosseini. The reason for the trip was the son-in-law of the famous deceased photographer Mahmoud Pakzad. He had previously agreed to give speech and answer about the life and the profession of his father-in-law.

She taught the students the main features and options that would be necessary for them to be able to design a presentable or printable PDF portfolio. Philipp Robien helped the students with their problems and difficulties concerning the software.

Also Principal Dr. Seyed Hassan Soltani joined the meeting and participated in the discussion.

Assistant teacher Samaneh Khosravi held a workshop on the basics of Adobe Lightroom software. In this workshop she explained the different sections of Lightroom’s user interface and their functions which will come in handy for the students during the post-processing stage of their photography.

The German teachers team of the TWO CITIES Workshop 2020, Prof. Jörg Winde, Samaneh Khosravi, Jennifer Brade and Philipp Robien, safely arrived in Tehran. The first meeting between all of the teachers and the student participants of the workshop 2020 took place at the photography department of University of Art.

After a lot of work and love for book design, the catalogues of the TWO-CITIES Project 2019 were printed at Lensing Druck in Dortmund. Today they were delivered and made ready for their long journey to Tehran. After a travelling about 4.000 km the books arrived their final destination at Imam Khomeini Airport and were picked up carefully by Dr. Motarjemzadeh brought to the University of Art Tehran, where they will be hand over to the participating students of the workshop.

After two weeks of work and group effort, today was the last official day of the program for this year at the Faculty of Design of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund. All participants of the workshop had their final presentation of their series and works. At the end of the meeting the students donated their gifts to each other. In the coming months, the catalogue of the second year TWO CITIES workshop will be designed, printed and published.
