In one of Tehran’s famous taxis Prof. Jörg Winde and assistant teacher Philipp Robien drove to Tahrish Square in the high north of Tehran where they met Iranian assistant and good friend Amir Khadem Hosseini. The reason for the trip was the son-in-law of the famous deceased photographer Mahmoud Pakzad. He had previously agreed to give speech and answer about the life and the profession of his father-in-law.
He gave an insight into his impressively archive for the topic of Philipps Master thesis about the modern architecture of Tehran and Jörgs ongoing photographic project about the Valiasr Street. The photographer Mahmoud Pakzad was one of the best known and most extensive documentarists in Tehran between the decades of 1940 and 1980. It is therefore not surprising that this impressive meeting did not end until late afternoon.
